Octoraro Viking 527, a son of Viking GD60, is the result of an exceptional program in Pennsylvania where Sam Wylie emphasizes sustainable maternal genetics. In the early 1970s, Sam traveled to Montana to purchase a Bardolier 200 daughter, Miss Wix of Vidamont 32. Breeding that cow to Geordus of Graham began a series of judicious matings that has created a bull who transmits remarkable thickness as well as true maternal value.
